I'm using Views for the first time. My problem is that when I try to add a view, there is no option for me to add a field.
I have given my view a name and description. Under Block, I have checked 'Provide Block', specified this as a List View, given the block a title, specified 5 nodes, and left the 'More' option unchecked. When I go to Fields, I see the following, with no add option or hyperlinked text:
Name Label Handler Option Sortable Default Sort Ops
This view currently has no fields defined.
Fields are only meaningful with List view and Table View; they allow you to choose which fields are presented and in what order.
HOWEVER, if I cut the text I see there, this shows up when I paste it into a text editor:

I can't figure out why Add Field is invisible and not clickable. Ideas?

Schwa, your answer is on target. I was using IE7 (I know, unbelievable that I was doing that). I just went to administer Views in Firefox and now I can see the fields. THANK YOU!

Heh. I'll just say I'm on a Mac, so these myriad IE probs are like a remotely amusing sideshow. ;-) Glad to help.
