I am currently working on it.
i already have ready the installing of the content types of agreservations
in Drupal7. and am currently testing the bookingcalendar, next comes the
porting of the agres_categories and agres_booking sub modules.
I also helped porting the Resource Conflict module to D7.
I guess i will have a dev version ready for D7 soon.
i currently have the booking calendar running on D7 already, but have to tweak the css a bit.
the hard part will be the integration with ubercart,...
untill all features from agreservations for D6 will run in D7, it will be August, maybe a bit earlier.
Hello,
help is welcome!
But currently agreservations 7.x-1.x-dev is still not
a good start to work from. give me some more
weeks to release a version 7.x-1.0-alpha as a base for
patches as soon as possible.
A good example of a contribution is the work from amazee labs who
contributet the time_frame and restriction modules for agreservations
on top of these i implemented the rates module.
One thing thats needed big time soon is everything that eases the
pain of setting up and configuring the system.
i will go with what is working better and easier.
i am pretty open minded in that point. But if i can use
most of the code that i wrote for agreservations/ubercart integration for D6
for D7 aswell, i will probably do that.
If i find out that i have to rewrite everything anyway, i will try and evaluate
commerce.
At the moment i want to get agreservations ready to use with D7. It will be the fastest
to go with nodes and content types and with ubercart for that purpose, because Ubercart
did not change too much since D6.
In Preparation to a D8 version i will probably switch to entities and will additionally
write a submodule to plug in to Drupal Commerce.
I will find out by the time D8 comes out, which will be the right direction to take...
At the moment all i need to do is writing docu, improving the userinterface,... things i did not yet
have the time to do.
Some Good news: with the beginning of September i will work full time on agreservations!
Agreservations is already running on live sites mostly on accomodation sites like
hotels and once set up and configured it is doing a really well job.
Ok the timeframe, restriction and rates modules are ported, but not yet tested.
there some notice and deprecated function call errors left we are
very close to an apha release which for people who do not need
to upgrade from a 6.4 version could already be used for their
projects...of course without guarantee, you should help testing carefully
before using the alpha on production sites.
For Contributors the alpha release (comming within the next couple of days)
can be used as version to patch against.
Hi Andreas,
Thank you for your efforts, your module looks really great.
I saw your instructional videos, you said that it could be possible to change the duration time of reservation item to less than 1 hour period in future. I am looking now for an item with 20 minutes long duration for a medical consultation. When, do you think, could it be available in your module - is it a matter of days, weeks or maybe month? Or maybe you could point me out another module?
Hello, i plan to have this ready at least in spring 2012, i have lots
of work to do. of course if i could turn this into work that pays my rent,
it could be done faster, my rates are 50$ per hour.
i will implement fields into the category node in which you
will be able to enter a fixed duration instead of a second date.
Fields will be: fixed duration: days, hours, minutes.
I will then tweak the day view which anyway needs some
more work(still some php notice errors and warnings appear).
If in the category node you select, that you want the user to enter not only date but
time informations too, you can have any type of duration, but the
user determines which duration by entering the wished
begin and end times, like in car rental scenarios. As stated above i
work on fixed durations.
Regarding the calendar display:
if the same unit gets booked from i.e. 15:00 to 15:20 and also 15:30 to 15:55
the day calendar will look....wrong it will break the design, but you can
manually change the time grouping in the day views settings by using the views_ui
and change the grouping at format->settings.
Currently the month and week views work pretty well.
The day view needs more work. Also i have to find a solution how
to display <1day reservations on the week and month views...at
the moment i only show the first encountered reservation and draw out the
complete cell of the day with that item in the week and calendar views.
Only on the day view you will see the different bookings on that day
in the different hours.
Regarding other modules,
There exists a Booking Time Slots module, but I have not tried it yet.

Tony Finlay commentedHi I was wondering what would be a rough estimate for a date of completion on the port? July, August or later?
It's just that I have a job coming up that this module would be perfect for and perhaps could be held back a bit.
Cheers
