Yes, someday it will. But I would first like to finish it ;)

In D7 the nodes concept is changed for the field concept. This way also terms, menu's can have great attributes and filling. May be it is easier to bring it to D7, instead of finish this in D6?

I don't know but D7 has lots of great opportunities when there would be booking-fields available..
