Spatial grouping

Hi,

I'm attempting to use the timeline module as a visual representation of key projects with mini 'milestones' which need to be accomplished in order for the key project to progress.

I have attached a screenshot of what I have done so far. In this screen, I have 2 'key projects' each with 2 'milestones'. I have grouped them, as indicated by the colors, but it's not displaying how I thought it would / how i want it to. I need the 'groups' to be grouped together, not only by color, but spatially as well. I mean, all the 'red' items should be clustered together, all the 'blue' items should be clustered together.. I'm not sure if this is possible. In fact this may be working exactly as intended and perhaps it's just not the right module to be using for my requirements. Or maybe I can easily tweak my view to get it to appear as desired. I have tried searching and fiddling, but no luck so far, so I'm hoping I can get some guidance here.
