On nodes add and edit the active select to choose categories works fine, the clock image spins and stops.
But when editing a category to edit its container it shows the spinning clock waiting for the "parent" select dropdown box to load and it hangs there while nothing can be selected from the "parent" box.

The container can be changed and the image keep spining without stop, which is what i'm noting here.
I don't know if the "parent" box is supposed to have values but i assume it is trying to load values and fails.

Makes me worry something is wrong, because it works fine when editing nodes.
So far, this only happen on category pages, on all containers selected. I'm using firefox 1.5.0.9.

It might affect making books, but i haven't tried because i only use category for my cck type.

Now i tried to make a sub-category and there's no way to add a nested category, or rearrange book pages, because the "parent" field never loads.

Furthermore, i applied category_transform to the "page" content type and on node/92/category-cat the "parent" field never loads, the container active select keeps spinning and when submitted it fails with the error: "Parent field is required", because it is mandatory.

Disabling javascript shows the full parent list.

I can see this might be a problem with active select, but since it's being used from within the category module i'll leave this issue here.
