Hello fellow drupalers. I am new at drupal i just installed drupal 5.1 and i have been playing around with it for the past couple of days. Im having a big problem with forums. They look pretty bad. and after alot of searching i installed flat forums. i dont know if that is working right or not the forums are still pretty weird looking. I am starting to think my theme might be the cause. i am using slash black as a base. i followed all the instructions when i installed flat forums but not my post are all just gray. to test i installed flat forum on blue marine and it looks amazing. It says in the read me that flat forum requires a PHPTemplate. which slash says it is. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi i found the problem i think slash had no css for forum. i coppied css from blue marine to slash for the forums and it looks better flatforums seem to be working. woot any advice on making it look better is appreciated anyway

no it just added like 2 boxes the forum layout is still all wrong. im starting to think that the theme is the cause.

flatforum.css is what you will need to tweak to make it look better. I suggest using the FireFox browser and the webdeveloper addon and/or the firebug addon to allow you to see the css and tweak it to your liking.

i will go change the code in there but the problem is with the slash template as far as i can see. i decided to switch templates for the forum to one of the official ones because it looked good on those but i definetly will checkout flatforum.css for tweaking after and i do have the firefox addon. it is very usefull.
