hello

my problem:

- made a teaserlist with views as page (including menu-item)
- when i show that list everything is fine an the menu-item is active/current
- when i then want to read one node of the list in detail the menu-item is not longer active (but he is part of the list ...)

any idea?
how the menu knows which menu-item has to be in the active-state?
its like the detailnode has nothing to do with the list?

thanks and greetings momper

hello

the same problem like before:

- made a primary-links menu that shows a view a vocabulary
- made a secondary-links menu: each one of the menu-items shows another taxonomy-term (a teaserlist) from of this vocabulary above (everything is fine - primary and secondary are both active)
- if i change now from the teaserlist (click to the headline of the teaseritem) to the node -> there is nothing active in the primary-links-menu and the secondary-links-menu is gone away

it seems to be a structural problem of drupal - or what is the fault?
the node don't know which menuitem activated him?

am i the only one with this problem? whats the workaround? has anyone an idea? i'm not a programmer ...

thanks and greetings

hello,

sorry - it's so long ago and we solved the problem with ugly hacks - so i'm not so into this stuff anymore - but in general:

it really depends on the version of drupal (5.x or 6.x because of different menu systems) you use and if you are using the primary/secondary links or normal menu links ...

maybe this helps you a little bit:
http://drupal.org/project/menutrails
http://drupal.org/node/248522

maybe some others have an idea?
