I'm new to Drupal and spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out how to upload images from my personal directories thru WYSIWYG editor, both CKEditor and TinyMCE.

In D7, CKEditor + IMCE seems working fine right now. TinyMCE 3.4.2 + IMCE + WYSIWYG works fine till preview mode, but once hit "Save" button and publish the article, the image does not show up on the production site. Instead, the code like
"[img]/drupal6/sites/default/files/01_0.jpg[/img]" shows up. Also, all the boded character show up with code like "[b]3[/b][b]".

In D6, the TinyMCe 3.4.2 have the exact same issue.

I use Full HTML input format.

Anybody can help me to know why??

I'm also interested...I'm using the same modules as cisliu on D7 but I can't get a "browse" button to appear on either one. I also have media module installed. I've disabled it but that doesn't make a difference. When I enable and check the "image browser" checkbox it defaults to the media browser which doesn't work. Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am having the same issue... Is it a setting some place that I am missing? If I bold a word in the editor, and hit save I get <b> word</b> when published... Getting ready to have site go live, but need to get this fixed ASAP in order to put content on site.

I noticed that when you click the submit button, the text area removes the tools bars and the text looses its formatting and reverts to the sample above.

I cannot get TinyMCE to work right. I disabled the BB code as one person mentioned, but that didn't work. I am getting coding showing up on the production page no matter what I've done so far. In other words this is what shows up: [b]Testing[/b]

I would appreciate any help!

Thank you.

P.S. I installed CKEeditor, and everything works right, but not have encountered another issue, and that is that people are saying that the module to upload images works with TinyMCE and that is why they use TinyMCE. I am going to try reinstalling TinyMCE and see if I did it right the first time. It's pretty confusing to have all those TInyMCE folders.
