I have nodes with a http://drupal.org/project/field_collection in it. And realized that Default Content doesn't import/export the stuff in my collection fields. As far I can see there is a plugin for each supported field. Am I right that if I need support for field collections there is another plugin neccessary?

Has someone such an plugin already and can provide it as a patch?

I need the exact same thing. I think we will need a machine_name for field_collections too that should be created automatically. If node_name is the machine_name for the node the fc is attached to, then the machine_names for the fcs could be: node_name_fc_1, node_name_fc_2...

Sorry, but at this time there's no further development plan for this module. If anyone's written a working module, it's fine to include it as a sub-module. Please also take a minute to check out #1869366: Future Plan.
