i started porting it myself. i am halfway though. i would also be interested in maintaining the d7 version if possible.

I get these two errors after enabling it and testing it out.

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in _edit_section_get_offsets() (line 126 AND 129 of sites/all/modules/edit_section/edit_section.module

I also get this error when I go to my "wiki" path created by the Wikitools module.

Notice: Undefined offset: 3 in _menu_translate() (line 762 of /includes/menu.inc).

It's a fresh installation with the wikitools, freelinking, pathauto, token, display suite, diff, and talk.

It seems to work very well. Thanks for D7 port. There is also one minor bug, although it might not be considered one. If someone were to use the something like the <h2> tags with the text format that didn't allow it, In my case it was the regular filtered HTML, then the edit link still appears but this time on the left side of the heading text instead of the right.
