Sorry, maybe I'm overlooking something very big, but aside from the ability to activate the module, I can't figure out where to look to configure the Twitter module. Any chance you could walk us through how to configure it? I'm trying to figure out if any modules are dependent on it.

Thanks!

Using PHP5.2, Drupal 5.1, Mysql 5, Apache on linux.

After enabling the module, no config settings appear in /user/x/edit and no interface to post appears anywhere. As the previous poster suggested, is there an undeclared dependancy on another module? profile.module, perhaps?

Perhaps the developers of this module could take a look at the livejournal crosspost module and re-write this to be similar?

I can configure my twitter account in my profile page. I think it's a great module :)

But after I deleted all configuration values(username/password/post strings) in my profile, it still keep posting to my twitter....

Additional configuration and documentation have been listed as feature requests. Anyone confirm dependencies? I am having no issues with a fairly stock install with regards to user profiles, so I wonder if there is a problem with module interaction here. For those reporting that it does not work are you running any modules that also hook into user profiles?

No issues with 5.2 on my side- Could not duplicate. You should be able to enter your twitter info in your profile. I am closing this one. Please reopen if I am jumping the gun.

Now, if there are issues with persistence after the module is properly uninstalled we need to open a new bug. Anyone confirm this please open a new bug.

I'll reopen until we can figure out if it's another module interfering with display in a user's profiie. Changing status to active (needs more info).

Version: 5.x-1.x-dev » 6.x-2.0
Component: Documentation » User interface

I just installed the module and I am not able to configure it anywhere on my site.

The other modules I have installed are:

- comment_count_image
- fivestar
- globalredirect
- google_analytics
- pathauto
- search_engine_referers
- tagadelic
- teleport
- token
- votingapi
- xmlsitemap

I'm using a custom theme. Is there something in the templates that could be preventing twitter configuration from showing up in the user profile?

Sure you are not overlooking the settings? It's at the top of the profile Edit page. I overlooked it a couple of times before I found it.

Same behavior for me -- it's activated, but nothing in user profiles, and (I assume therefore) no dropdown to tweet on the post page.

I second the comments above that this is a brilliant module -- that I would love to share with my users.

changing this back to version 5 - there are big differences in the cvs versions last I checked. Please open a new issue for version 6. and for you version 5 folks please see this thread http://drupal.org/node/316811 - it's a back-port of the d6 version that should be more feature rich. have not tried it yet myself.

if, for some reason that port does not work there is some version 5 development that happened in this thread: http://drupal.org/node/220092 - i am running the patch there on a few sites.

and please check that you have the permissions checked for the user roles you want to be able to twete. don't know how many times i forget that step:)

Coby

Drupal 5 is not maintenance any more, If this issue occurs in any version for Drupal 6 or Drupal 7 reopen this issue.
