I noticed that the text in comments or in the titles of comments is not "seen" by the site search function. Is there a toggle for this somewhere, is something amiss?

Someone please correct my misperception -- it simply CAN'T be that comments text is not indexed. Yet, I see no mention of this feature -- http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/search

I am interested in a solution for this as well. i.e.: making Search index comments as well.
