Hello, I have a Drupal 7 site working with several content types where I have enabled a point increase to the content author when someone views it. It just isn't working. I can see through Drupal 7's statistic module that a certain node have been visited several times but the author isn't getting any points at all.

I think we have a misunderstanding here. There isn't any functionality like the one you're describing. This module only makes an author pay when they publish (or sticky/promote) a node, not when users visit a node. I'm not sure how you set it up such that a user gets points when someone views it, but it probably wasn't through this module.
