Activating modules

Hi,
When I try to activate mapbuilder, i go to modules When I click that I'm getting th followinge error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/limmyjw/domains/vanderlichte.nl/public_html/drupal/modules/mapbuilder/mapbuilder.module on line 665

Any idea?

BTW Im quite new to drupal.

I think this is because you don't have the php curl extension enabled. If this is the case or not, please let me know.

I have the same error and don't seem to have curl.

I put my debugging info in http://drupal.org/node/114871 which was probably the same error as this.

I will attempt to follow the debug this evening after I leave the office.

But, let me see if I get this straight.

My current directory structure is as follows:

/big/dom/xcoastaloutdoors/www/modules

where Drupal is in my direct www root.

What I should do now for these contributed modules is:

/big/dom/xcoastaloutdoors/sites/all/modules

where I install the contributed modules to sites/all/modules

Will Drupal pick up on that in Admin/Modules???
