If you use a quote in the image's description (") the following error happens:
Fatal error: Only variables can be passed by reference in /XXX/includes/form.inc on line 1347

So there might be errors in escaping. I hope this doesn't lead us to a security issue either?

This seems to be the same problem with the quotes as #1068540: check_plain on title and alt attributes
