Nitobe theme masthead image doesn't display in I.E. frontpage

I am using the Nitobe theme and have altered the masthead image and size of the masthead area. It works fine in Firefox but doesn't show in Windows. It DOES show in Internet Explorer on other pages. The only place it doesn't show is on the Front page. Has anyone else had a problem such as this?
