Organic Groups in D7 - What options for forums? other Items?

Hi,
I started building a web site a few weeks ago with Joomla. I'm now using Drupal. I started this weekend uploading stuff. So, I'm real new to it. I've installed D7 and Omega (and all the stuff that goes with that). I've installed Organic Groups and Entity. I have not done any set yet for OG.

I want to offer forums to the groups, but I'm a bit confused as I saw an OG forum module that was no longer being maintained.

Anyway, I would like to have forums for my groups and just about any other beneficial module for OG. The vast majority of info on the web is for D6, so I try to not read that kind of stuff just to keep confusion down.

I looking for your advice and hope to benefit from your experience with D7 and OG. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, especially on what modules to get, and tips on how to set it all up.
