Recently the diff module was upgraded, thx to very nice work of rötzi. In order to push his enhancements, he had to override the core node/$nid/revisions path. If the core function node_revision_overview would have returned a form instead of a table, the diff module could simply alter the form without overriding the complete path.
Now another module, revision_moderation, is requesting to override the core revision path (see issues Override node/$nid/revisions tab and Should an approved revision be copied or not?).
In order to give both modules some room for future enhancements, can we look to modify the current node_revision_overview function in the core?

toemaz commentedI don't think this feature request will get into 5, so I'm moving up to 6.
I believe there is more and more support for changing the in core revision system. What it really needs is just a little work together to put all the separate issues together. (e.g. http://drupal.org/node/124076)
This issue is a request for support!
