Worth noting that the HEAD is well out of date. All developments have been in the 4.7-dev branch.

Can you please do the following for me, or us?
* copy the 4.xx code into the HEAD,
* brach that of into a 5.x branch

Then I will commit myself to patches for a 5.x release.

Or are you wroking on 4.7 too much still?

The Simplepie API has changed somewhat in the latest builds so i'm just changing some of the feedmanager.module to be compatible.

There's also adding the ability to expose all the feed raw data for modules to play with.

Once they are in, and nobody reports any issues i'll freeze the 4.7-1.0 release and copy it to CVS HEAD to begin the Drupal 5.x updates. Once that's in place patches to make it work quicker would be much appreciated.

Any progress on this? I am kindof stuck, but really want to spend some development hours on getting thsi module stable. Yet I cannot do that for 4.7, my client already has a 4.7 site.

Just to note that simplefeed is available for 5.x right now, althought in beta stage but is pretty functional. Could be a viable alternative for some (it is for me!).

top work on this module - my site has launched now and you can see it at www.interragate.info - all the news is pulled in with feedparser and we're only at the beginning on adding all the feed links

Looks like a lot of folks are ready to help. Create a 5.1 'dev' branch of the code. This tells us that it is not quite ready for prime time and downloader beware. I can help testing/benchmarking.
