I just wanted to point out that in the module's description it's written:


Compared to Views slideshows, building the slideshow from multiple nodes, this module builds it from a single node, if you're using a multi-valued Image field.

this might be not true, as I have the same effect with views slideshow if I create a view of type "File" (instead of "Node").
Please clarify the difference, and thanks for the good work!

@Aldus: I did not even know that was possible! Could you please describe how your view is constructed?

Regarding your question. Event though it might be possible to achieve the same effect using Views Slideshow I think this approach is much more user friendly (and logical). Perhaps that should be the main selling point for this module.

I tried to replicate a field slideshow with the views_slideshow module but didn't succeeded.
@Aldus: Can you explain how it can be done, or share a views export?

In my opinion the point of this module is that you are not required to set up a View (and then place that on the node page) if you just want to make a slideshow of multiple values from a single field.

This is a great reduction of overhead in some cases. Very useful module!
