I am able to see the 'author information' block when a node is displayed and even when a blog entry is displayed (which actually appears as node/x). But I also wish to see the author information block when showing the user's blogs (paths like blog/uid).
I do not know how to go about doing it. I could not find any option for this. I even do not know whether it is in some option or we need to write custom code for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

I've also been looking into this and I came across this:
http://drupal.org/node/75277

It's a custom block that does much the same thing as the Author Information block, but you can use it to display on different page types. (You need to chose the profile fields and style it yourself)

I sort of hacked my way through the example to get it to display only on a main blog page (?q=blog/*)

I can't help further, but I think the clues might be there for people cleverer than me.

I would have thought the settings for custom visability would be useful.

Hope that helps a little

Also see:
http://drupal.org/node/29243 to see how to get information from the URL - (which is important because each users blog is at ?q=blog/*)

See the fix in http://drupal.org/node/52867. I resubmitted the bug for Drupal 5.2.
