Image field is not working - says required even when I fill it in

Hi,

I have an arts site where each artist must upload a set number of pieces. For example, one portrait, one watercolour etc. I want to make each piece of art a different node because I will be using Views.

I create an [Portrait] content type with a Title, Body and Image. I then use that as a node widget of another content type called [Artist Page] and leave all checkboxes checked (Title, Body, Image).

I can obviously create the [Portrait] content alone with no problem.

But when I try to create an [Artist Page], I fill in all the fields for the Portrait Artwork (Title, Body, Image). And I hit save. It comes up with an error in red at the top telling me that the Portrait Image field is required. Even though I have uploaded and attached an image it is not working.

Any help would be appreciated.
