manuel garcia commentedThanks DRIVE for the initiative, however, styles should not be requiring a specific image style preset, they should work flawlessly with any size.
So perhaps create a style called tiny green arrows or something like that, and document that it's ideal use-case is for small presets. Removing all references for a specific size for images is a must.
Part of the beauty is having users use their own image styles to fit their needs, and the gallery style should decorate/enhance around that.

DRIVE commentedI dont understand your logic :) Still a great module though!
The "micro gallery" is nothing more than a free style that you could include in your module, or simply as a viable add on to it, in the exact same way that the default galleries with Greenarrows work. You have presets and a defined style in the default setup which does NOT work with any old sizes a user wants to put in there which is why you define the style parameters to begin with right? Micro is nothing more than an additional, alternative style. It does the exact same thing that the presets with GF do.... no??
There is nothing wrong with weighting css or scripts... thats what those functions are for. Galleries, and their styles, are elements that can't be controlled to a fine degree by the Themers because they dont know it exists. If I use Zen and install Gallery formatter on it, Zen does not and could not know that "Gallery formatter" is installed so do "X". The Galleries are controlled after the point of installation thus making it perfectly acceptable to weight the specific components and drop them down to where their stuff will absolutely get processed properly.
OK, so you disagree with that then how about adding a "weight" selection box into the module so we can choose what is best for our sites?? And how about considering the micro gallery or any other galleries that users come up with as alternative styles in your Gallery formatter module? What is wrong with additional styles that are set up on install the exact same way the defaults are?? I thought you wanted additional styles and I dont think the average joe is going to take the large amount of time it took me to calculate all the sizes and then get them to work. Do you only want GF to have one default size that users can choose from? I dont get it.
I am happy to be using GF on numerous themes based on Fusion and Omega as well as all of the Drupal default themes working with all my mods flawlessly. I eliminated problems, not caused more! (IMHO of course... I am very grateful for this module AS-IS and know you have a massive investment of time in it to date!)

manuel garcia commentedthats a good idea DRIVE, can you post the updated code?
Comment #7
DRIVE commentedUhhh.... which updated code? :)
#5 is just the addition of the style for Micro-Gallery-"X" in galleryformatter_imagestyles.inc....
Other than that they just need the style in the original zip. Set style to the micro and set slides and thumbs to use the micro-slides, micro-thumbs..... and that's it....
I must be misunderstanding you... did you get a chance to look at the slideshow and other stuff in the last patches I posted?

gedam commentedI use Drupal only for 2 days and I need a little help... MICRO GALLERY works without problems on my site but could you please tell me how it is possible to change the gallery's position within the article? For example I wish to place the gallery on the right and wite text on the left as in the sample screenshot... Please help me!

DRIVE commentedThat's good to hear.
Using a view (Views module), I gave my galleryformatter div an additional CSS class and then prescribed the ouput mostly via CSS but Views does add a lot more power. Depending on your theme(s), you might be able to tune the CSS so that you dont need to set additional classes... just add/change to the galleryformatter div itself.
The screen cap of info via Firebug should illustrate one way I have found useful to move around the Micro Gallery. In your case you would be floating the gallery right. You may have to tune the text region depending on your theme. You might have to set an explicit width (% or px/em etc) for the text region and a firm width for the gallery ('X'px) because you already know how wide that is going to be.

gedam commentedThe solution was quite simple: I've installed CSS injector and put the following code in a rule:
.galleryformatter, .galleryformatter-micro-gallery-x-340x200 {
float: right;
margin-left: 10px;
margin-top: 85px;
}
:-)

lunk rat commentedThis is a great theme idea; the inset thumb nav arrows are a must for many situations in order to line things up nice. Though I do agree with #2 that

astonvictor commentedI'm closing it because the issue was created a long time ago without any further steps.
if you still need it then raise a new one.
thanks
