I'm a bit unclear about the distinctions and functional delineation of Mailhandler and Listhandler.

I'm setting up an import-only, read-only type of mailing list. In other words, this will take in e-mail messages from an existing mailing list and import them into a forum. (No sending out e-mail to the mailing list nor anything to the actual mailing list users.)

I set up the mailbox with Mailhandler and it can import a message into the forum. So that part is fine.

I did not set up the "Second E-mail address:" in Mailhandler because I do not want anything sent to the mailing list.

Where my confusion starts is with Listhandler's configuration screen warning of: "A mailbox becomes recognised as a mailing list if the 'Second E-mail address' is set." Listhandler does not "see" my Mailhandler e-mail account as a mailing list because it doesn't have that second e-mail address set. Does it need to? Do I even need Listhandler?

The problem I have is that if someone sends a message into the mailing list, the message is imported just fine. But if that mailing list user(e-mail address) sends in a second or third (etc.) message to a thread, the message is queued as a moderated comment. I've looked for what could be causing this, but cannot find anything. Anyone have any clues? Whacks with a clue-bat would be appreciated; TIA.
