Is irt not possible to use the technique mentioned in http://docs.jquery.com/Using_jQuery_with_Other_Libraries to make a clean jquery library work in 4.7 ?

Probably. I don't remember seeing that document when I put jQuery47 together.

I will accept patches to change this module to use .noConflict()
