Hello,
I am trying to install 5.1- brand new install. I have uploaded the files to my web server and when I go to my www.example.com page (to begin the install) I get an error stating:
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.
I have it set to accept ALL cookies, removed all cookies and cache then tried it again. Still SAME error. Tried it on I.E as well and nothing happens- no error and no page it just times out.
I am running PHP 5.1 and MySQL 4.1. Should I resort back to PHP 5.0.1 or even the 4's?? I have 4.7 on 5.0.1 and I do recall at that time that PHP 5 was having some problems. I haven't been active with Drupal since then but I had thought with 5.1 that it may be up to working with PHP 5.1.
Just trying to figure this out since its not even reading the install.php page and all I did was upload the files! Thanks for any help/direction you can offer!
