In Active Directory the ou attribute is uppercase OU. When I try to change it in the LDAP Groups admin page, it changes back to ou when I submit the form. The only way I can use OU is to change the LDAP_DEFAULT_GROUP_DN_ATTRIBUTE in the ldapgroups.module.

Active Directory is not case sensitive. For e.g. you can search for sAMAccountName or samaccountname - both are valid.

That is not completely true. It depends how you set up your naming convention configs in active directory. You can specify what character types and whether there is case sensitivity the same as with passwords. That is at least the case for SBS 2003 onwards
