raghukr commentedIn the views settings, set pager style as "no pager"
naisan commentedThere's another post on this. It's a bug, but you can workaround by not choosing the display in a node or page in that dialog, then disabling the pager in the next dialog and then configuring the display options on the next page.
raghukr commentedIt is not a bug. Views ticker does not work with pagers by design and throws error if pager is enabled. When you get an error, just disable the pager and you should be fine.
erok415 commentedI'm finding that this is still an issue with the latest beta downloaded today. The screen shot attached are the options I have for the pager. I have not found where I can disable the pager. If you know, please pass it on.

raghukr commentedCan you try "Display all items" & also change More Link to "No"
erok415 commentedI'll try it now and report back.

erok415 commentedI tried it and the errors persist.
Here are the exact errors:
Notice: Undefined index: title in template_preprocess_views_ticker_view() (line 25 of ~dir\sites\all\modules\views_ticker\includes\views_ticker.views.inc).
Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in template_preprocess_views_ticker_view() (line 25 of ~dir\sites\all\modules\views_ticker\includes\views_ticker.views.inc).
Side Note: I have only two articles to display with the ticker that have a tag of #publicnotice. Everything works correctly except for the errors. My intention (which works) is to have only one line show at a time (i.e., Public Notice: Pool will be closed today ...Read More ).
erok415 commentedI found this line in views_ticker.views.inc:
$variables['field'] = $view->field['title']->field_alias;Is it safe to assume that the $variables field is supposed to be replaced with a pointer from $views->field['title'] and ->field_alias? If so, wouldn't that create a conflict since the $variables['field'] is being replaced with two pointers?
I tried it and I was able to get rid of the error.
File: views-ticker-view.tpl.php
I removed views-fade-tick-field-$field from the class of line 53.
File: views_ticker_views.inc
I commented line 25.
$variables['field'] = $view->field['title']->field_alias;My vTicker works fine and the errors are gone.
I'm certain that the errors were being produced by double pointers being placed into the same $variables['field']. I look forward to hearing back from you on this and I hope you can shed some more light on this.
E.
PS. I hope I was able to help.

raghukr commentedThanks for the info, but these changes (and few other improvements) are already available in the latest commit. Unfortunately, due to some reason, the project page dev releases are not updated with latest commit. You can download the latest commit (7.x-2.x) here http://drupalcode.org/project/views_ticker.git/snapshot/a1b4d84.tar.gz
Comment #11
erok415 commentedI received this error when I tried to install the download.
a1b4d84.tar.gz does not contain any .info files. Can you offer a zip file?
E.
raghukr commentedThe gz file contains .info file. But the directory name will be different and you will not be able to install it using the browser. Extract contents of gz (and tar) file, back up your views_ticker directory in modules, copy the views_ticker-a1b4d84 to the modules dir, rename it as views_ticker.
gryyoung commentedThe method posted above still produced the same error. So, I created a view as an "Unformatted List" and then changed the Pager setting to "Display all items", after which I changed the format to "Views Ticker" and successfully save the view.
Praveen Dhyani commentedI am not getting how to use views ticker in My drupal site.
There is no option in "In the views settings, set pager style as "no pager" " .
I am using Drupal 7.7 and latest drupal views ticker module 7.x-2.0
Comment #15
efc84 commentedHi,
I cannot see an option that will allow me to untick the 'use pager' option (see attached). Do you need a certain module installed to see it?
I already have installed and using drupal 7.8
c tools
views
panels
views ticker
Thanks

Praveen Dhyani commentedefc84 first save your ticker as a unformatted list, then change it to News Ticker and do these given settings in attached picture.
