When I create a new user, I assign a code which I just created. I set the expiration date of the code to a year later, just to be sure this wouldn't cause any issues. When I complete the user creation, I get this error message:

"The secret code you provided is wrong or outdated. Please try again, or contact the site manager to obtain a working code."

So I can't assign the secret code, thus the user doesn't get upgraded to the appropriate role. Any ideas why this would happen? I have to get passed this so I can figure out how to send the secret code to existing users so they can be upgraded as well.

I won't be able to look into it for the next couple of days. In the meantime, could you tell me more precisely what you did before you received the error, so I can replicate the situation?
