Any chance we can get a checkbox down the left of components (on node/XX/webform) and a delete button down the bottom? Something similar to Views Bulk Operations would be awesome. I want to delete about 15 components from a webform and deleting them one by one is tedious.

Nope, I think someone will have to code it up. I don't have time to do that but I submitted the feature request in case anyone else there does have the time.

I'm not sure I'll be adding this option due to the additional complexity it would add to the components listing. I don't want to start advertising it before it's ready, but really the Form Builder project combined with Webform will make this a moot point, because it replaces the entire component-editing interface anyway.

Have you tried grouping the fields you want to delete into a fieldset, then deleting the fieldset component? If memory serves, I did this before and it worked.

Yes I should have mentioned that, I've done that approach from time to time. Good for cloning too. I'm going to won't fix this issue, as I don't think I would add it to the project even if a patch were provided.
