Drupal for grant/funding management?

Hi All,

Is anyone aware of any efforts in Drupal-land to create a grant management platform ( like MicroEdge.com)?

I have a client from a grant making organization who is interested in the idea of creating an open source platform for grant makers and they are interested in the feasibility of doing this?
