Issue Summary
Worked once. Now it won't update. Message across the top says Status not completely retrieved for (exif, fquery, gallery); panels - refresh this page or run cron.php
but neither refreshing nor running cron.php noticably does anything. Is that because it can't get the data for these projects, or because it's not working?

I just fixed a (possibly) related problem. Please download the latest version (1.43) and let me know if this fixes your problem. You should clear the cache by using the admin/settings/releasemonitor "Requery Now" button.

Just using the button BEFORE the upgrade actually solved the problem for me :) Updating anyway. Incidentally release monitor 1.40 didn't know that release monitor 1.43 was out ...

I am encountering this same issue -- worked once, now it won't update, and the message at the top says "Status not completely retrieved for...." I have version 1.45 from the Feb 20th official release installed. Cron has run at least twice since I installed the module.

fm, You're message is filed against a 5.x-1.x-dev release. Are you using Drupal 5 or Drupal 4.7? If you are using 4.7, please file a new issue, as this one has already been closed for Drupal 5.
The current version for D5 is 1.45.4.2, but I don't think the differences between 1.45 and 1.45.4.2 were significant enough to cause this problem. If the list of "Status not completely retrieved for...." stays the same after visiting the admin/releases page twice, then it's a problem with determining what the projects are.
Please list the part of the quote that you left off .... What projects are missing? This is an important detail.
