Editing container clears child category expanded status

IEvery time I make an edit to a container that has child categories, even if "Menu items within this container: Enabled (and display each item expanded)" is selected, it sets the child category's menu item's expanded status to "No".

Having the "Enabled (and display each item expanded)" setting checked helps me maintain the expanded status when editing the categories themselves, but editing the container in any way forces me to go back to the advanced settings for each menu item to restore their expanded status one by one.
