String Translation stuck queued

Using the translation search (taxonomy).

Ticked the "text group" taxonomy and clicked on "Queue selected strings for translation".

Then selected "Go to the translation dashboard to send to translation".

Ticked the "queued strings" and clicked the "translate selected documents" (using google translate).

In the translation dashboard, the status never changes to "published" and is stuck on queued.

There also seems no way to remove any queued items.
