Help!! How to upload images with Gallery2?????
Hello Hello all.
Its been a while since I have really had to play with Drupal and my how things have changed...Congrats to all for the Wonderful Drupal 5.
Im having a spot of bother and would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction.
Im setting up a website, that requires user photo albums. I played with the photo blog module, and now Im playing with the gallery module and I just cant seem to figure out how to get thing working hwo I want.
Im probably complicating it in my head. But this is what is required.
A user joins the website. Along with access to articles forums etc, I would like them to be able to share pictures, by having their own galleries and sub galleries. I would like these galleries to be globally viewable.......
Some pointers for an old hand that feels like a newbie would be appreciated.
I have tried integrating gallery but I cant seem to find a way for users to upload images or create their own galleries within drupal. All the "Authenticated" users see is the Gallery owned by "Gallery Administrator"
When I look in the gallery config I can see that the users are syncing and been created in Gallery so I am a little lost.
Help greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.
Matt

and what modules are enabeld
and what modules are enabeld in the gallery module ? you can check by logging in as the administrator of gallery2.
user albums would be one you want set up, and then you have to set the permissions on those within the gallery 2 configuration. This stuff isn't configured within drupal.
more information about gallery 2 can be found on galleries forums. Essentially it run seperate to drupal as far as administration and configfuration is concerned, drupal admin only handles setup of the module itself.
All available modules...
I did a full gallery install so yes user albums module is install
Along with about 1000 more....it seems that all drupal accounts are access the Ädministrator album.
Very confusing....because they are also not allowed to post image to this album...which is the only correct thing happening at the moment
-------------
Been away from drupal for 6 months, health and other reasons.
Worked on some very cool drupal projects and I am starting some more currently.....looking forward to a drupalised future.
My suggestion is to install
My suggestion is to install another Gallery 2 installation, set up at least one other user, does gallery work as expected just using gallery2 ? is it a bug in Gallery 2 ? that you've discovered ?
I was under the impression that last time i tested this, was that a user album was created upon the user logging into the gallery on his/her first visit. Is this properly set ? what about the roles settings in regards to gallery 2 ?
Same Problem
I have installed Gallery2 an Drupal and it seems than only the Drupal administrator user can create albums or add images. This _can't_ be the case surely ?
Has anyone else been more successful ?
Thanks
I have.... have you
I have.... have you installed the user album plugin and configured it in the Gallery2 software ?
