How to Instal and configure GD Library

Hello everyone;

I have down loaded and un-zipped GD Library. Where do I install and how do I configure? I tried to place in module folder, like other modules .... No joy. Novice, Need help. Thanks.

Many thanks for your response. I use Wamp server, which installs Apache, PHP & MySQL simultaneously. From the task bar on only had to click on GD to initiate service.

I use Wamp5 as well. Can you tell me how you did it in details please. I have the same problem at the moment.

I thought I used Apache Module from Wamp icon in the task bar ...... but I can not reproduce it. So I do not knw where or what I did! Please go to Wamp forum.

On the bottom right corner, you'll find the taskbar with icons - click on the half-circle WAMP icon. In the menu, go to Config files, then php.ini. Remove the ; in front of ;extension=php_gd2.dll and Drupal should recognize the GD library.
