My users create nodes of content type = 'profile' to use as their profiles. This allows me to use taxonomy and cck for the users profiles and along with the usernode, nodeprofile and nodefamily modules, i've created my community site with a lot of flexibility available. One advance would be great:
User creates content type of 'profile' and selects from the taxonomy terms for their location: New York. This taxonomy term is also selected when creating the 'New York' group. Now, we have user profiles that have this taxonomy term relative to which state they're in and we also have one group for every state. So, could there be some kind of feature that will automatically subscribe this user to the appropriate group when they select the taxonomy term during creation of their 'profile' node?

pwolanin commentedWell, probably some of the code could be recycled, but what you want would require a new and rather different module. If you can't code it yourself you can always sponsor the necessary development. It's not a feature that I can readily add into the existing module.

armanjava commentedIs this something you can do for me? What kind of a bounty would this require?
