A file browser dialogue should appear for an attribute created using the UC Attribute Files module. Instead a text area or, if a wysiwig is enabled, a wysiwig editor is displayed with the file name between two tags, eg
[UC_ATTRIBUTE_FILES]View from Mt Kaukau 1.JPG[/UC_ATTRIBUTE_FILES]

Ubercart Attribute Files module is in testing at https://github.com/Drupalfarms/uc_attribute_files
