I tested the module on D7 but it seems that the counter is not working.

I`v posted few articles with an user that had 10 "Purchased" nodes but, the counter remains the same 10.

Hello sslider999,
in order to create contents through ppn system, user must not have the permission to create that content type (i.e. "Article: Create new content"). If user has this permission, he can "bypass" ppn system and his balance never get updated.
Please check if this can solve your issue and let me know.
