Drupal is Great

Hi,

I'm a new Drupal user and I am very excited about it. I tested Drupal 4.7 some time ago, and for some reason i did not find it appropiate for my needs. So I continued my search for a good CMS. I tried Xaraya; i found it too big, and slow, although very feature rich. Then I switch to Joomla; i found it too chaotic, hard to extend, to much HTML+PHP joint code, and with a VERY limited rights management sistem, but with a nice administration feature. After that, I switch to Xoops, which was nice, but still kind of slow and limited. After about 6 months, I was ready to start working on a CMS that would fit my needs, borrowing ideas that I liked in other CMS, but I decided to test again Drupal (5.1). I was absolutely amazed about its features and how I did missed them before. I started to read the handbooks and I discovered it is very easy to create your own modules and themes.

It is an amaizing project, well coordinated, well maintained, absolutely fabulous.

Yes!!!

Drupal is the CMS I've been looking for for so long! Mambo was quite good but as you wrote: too chaotic. Yes, I think so, too.
In January, I found Drupal on a page with an Overview of CMS. Download it, installed locally - GREAT! I testet it at first locally on my Mac with MAMP (another great project!). So I could test everything an now I have 2 projects online - and some more will follow.
Many thanks to the Drupal team!!!
