I've posted an issue in the VotingAPI area (http://drupal.org/node/118231).

According to the answer I got, the API should be aware of the "votability" status of each node type.

Since the only way to change this status is to use the NodeReview settings, I suppose that NodeReview must notify the API when the "votability" status changes for a node type.

Am I correct ?

If yes, is there any known issue regarding this problem ?

I just checked with the latest version of VotingAPI and NodeReview for both Drupal 4.7 and Drupal 5, and I didn't get a "Votes" tab on any node. Or do you mean somewhere else?

Please make sure that you're running the latest version of votingapi, views, and nodereview. If you still get a stray "votes" tab, report back with exactly where and I'll see if I can reproduce it. As is I'm tempted to mark won't fix if I can't duplicate the problem.
