I've tried to prefill the custom CCK fields for with Prepopulate (tried it with both 6.x-2.1 and 6.x-2.dev) and it doesn't work. If I turn off Support Fields, then it works for all CCK fields, including the ones that wouldn't take when Support Fields was on.

I would really like to use both modules together to minimize mistakes when people are filling out their tickets.

I absolutely agree this would be a nice feature and should work out of the box. I'm afraid I am extremely busy atm and wont have time to take care of this at the moment. If anyone else has a fix, I'll gladly merge in the patch.

Until a fix has been provided all I can do is recommend using default values in the core system, if they have to be manipulated or dynamically fetched I've used php code in the default value for other projects, that should work.

Time does not look to extend itself to 10 day weeks in the near future so I'm closing this request. If anyone has a patch, feel free to reopen. I'll gladly accept it.
