Undefined variable: skinr in include() (

With the rc2, I received the following error on all panels pages which show fields (as opposed to views), one error for each region with a field:

Notice: Undefined variable: skinr in include() (line 26 of localhost/sites/all/themes/acquia_marina/templates/panels-pane.tpl.php).

If I removed the variable, the error disappears. however, every one of my fields now shows "array" instead of the data.

Along with the errors generated by git in page.tpl and other files, this RC is a bit of a mess.
