TR, as this module makes Ubercart more user friendly, and you are co-maintainer of both, should we consider merging some/all features directly into Ubercart core for 7.x?

Yes. In general I think it would be a good idea to make this module obsolete by incorporating the features into core and adding more fields and views to offload the responsibility for configuration. The power tools code itself needs some work, though.
