Maybe I'm missing something or something is missing, but I can't find any widget option making my field hidden. I'm looking under 'Manage Fields' but nothing . . .

See http://drupal.org/node/1299960. No field types are defined for the two widgets in the code, and this causes the problem.

As mentioned, the patch in #1299960: The two hidden field widgets can not be chosen on fields will go a long way to help :)

This issue doesn't need to be open anymore, does it? Marking as duplicate?
