ezmlm - am I missing something?

Description

does this module need other modules installed to make it do anything? I can get the Subscribe block and enter an email address to add....but the email address entered doesn't get any sort of email.

There are no settings to set at /admin/ezmlm...
There is no way of seeing who is subscribed...
I don't see a way of setting what content (and when) goes out to the mailing list...

I must be missing something...

you should have tabs. Go to the admin -> ezmlm lists menu and add / modify / delete lists.

No, you don't need any other Drupal modules to make this work -- but you do need at least one ezmlm-managed mailing list for this module to do anything. ezmlm is a mailing list manager that works with qmail. Did you read the project page?

thx. I don't think the explanation on the project pages is written well - it's rather confusing if you've never heard of qmail or ezmlm (like me). The descriptions on the linked pages aren't easy to understand either.

I thought it could be all done from within my Drupal site but it sounds like you need other applications and/or external services (qmail)....? Or is qmail an application I need installed on my webserver?

sorry for sounding dumb.... :)

As always with Drupal, if you think something could be done better, suggestions, patches, revisions, etc. on how you would make it better are always welcome. I'll be happy to change the project description if you can suggest a better way to describe it so that people aren't confused.
