http://www.aviationflightzone.com is my website. Whenever I visit it I feel like it is to cluttered. Is there anyway I can make the page smaller? What I mean by this is not make the actual page smaller in the sense that the page wrapper would shrink, but rather, make the website look less cluttered. Making the words slightly smaller? I think of it as changing the resolution on a monitor. Sometimes when you have it set to the highest things are smaller and cleaner, but the area looks bigger and with more space. Thank you in advance.

Well
Since you asked.
I would look at altering the CSS to shrink the tabs at the top, move the navigation block up, shrink the fonts in your time block, move your Firefox ad down, maybe shrink the font in your poll (or remove it from the front page), perhaps make the Hx tags a bit smaller, and move the gallery off the front page.
However, my opinions are largely disregarded...

Your opinions are largely disregarde? Oh no. You brought up good points. I have been dealing with this...how should I put it....cramped up front page for a while. Thank you for your advice. I will try to work on that tomorrow.
Anyone else have something to say, please do so.
Along with Nancy's comments.
Along with Nancy's comments. The first thing should be to get that overly "large" image of the plane off the front page. its 787 pixels wide. far too large for a single image on the front page with both sidebars being active.
Look into the image_enhanced_scaling.module so that you can have thumbnails rather than the large graphic you already have. Between that one large picture and that gallery at the bottom, you should retrieve some space back.
I'd also move the search to the header, since you have so much room up there.
Wow
Thanks, VM. I noticed that but didn't know how to deal with it other than just shrinking it.
And, WOW! I think that's twice in a row you've agreed with me.

it is not a matter of
it is not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with any one specific individual. Try not to take it personally.
Fact is ... there are so many ways to skin a Drupal (cat) that we are bound to have implementations that overlap as often as we have implementations or methods that don't. As well as methods we would implement in a completely different way given our experience with the vast depths of the contrib modules.
I certainly never meant any offense with offerring a method in a thread you've already offered a method in.
Now that I have looked at this users site again (this time with untired eyes). Once the images were thumbed or at least made smaller. I would investigate the width of the side bars. Making them wider to create some color seperation between them and the content area.
Or you can seek out a more liquid template, where the side bars aren't a fixed width.
Thanks everyone
I am currently working on a way to implement these changes. Thank you
