FAQ_Ask allows users with the new 'ask question' permission to create a question which will be queued for an 'expert' to answer. See here for an explanation for why the module was created.

Maturity

FAQ_Ask is mature. It has been available for over 3 years, has over 1400 sites using it, and is actively maintained.

Strengths

FAQ_Ask is specifically designed to support a group of experts answering questions. It has workflow features to divide work between experts depending on the category of question. It also has a drag-and-drop feature to manually order questions, which is useful for FAQ pages.

Opportunities

Since FAQ_Ask is designed for support an Ask the Expert feature, it naturally does not support a group both asking an answering questions. It lacks (as do most QA modules) userpoints integration, voting on questions and answers, and other such social features for managing QA.

FAQ_Ask does not have strong facilities for searching or browsing questions.

Like most QA modules, not much attention has been paid to theming.
