My site appears to work normally but in the log I have quite a few access denied messages. The user is 'anonymous' but I know the actual user is logged in and using a portion of the site that is not accessible to 'anonymous'.

For instance, I am logged in and edit a restricted node. When I check the log I see 'access denied' 'node/32/edit'
I see these errors for 'private message' and user nodes as well.

Is anybody else seeing this or know how to clean this up. I am afraid a resource is attempting to be accessed, fails, then the user role is retrieved and the resource is accessed again. That would be very inefficient.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you have any luck in fixing this? I have exactly this issue, and I find it quite perplexing!
