It would be nice if for the multiple value field the surrounding fields element supports multiple custom classes.

This already works the way you indicated in your screenshot. Are you saying you can enter one class and it works, but entering multiple classes somehow doesn't? Can you describe what happens after you enter multiple classes?

Well, when I was writing this issue I was quite sure that it works like you just said. But to be 100% sure I've checked now and I see, that for this field it does not work at all. The surrounding fields element does not even automatically get the field-items class. I've checked with different cck fields of different types. So, I guess, it's another one issue and the title has to be changed.
